It’s no secret that the recent past has marked a particularly rough period for people who work in the motion picture industry. To offer some perspective, here’s an article from the December 1957 issue of American Cinematographer. I’m always banging on about how there’s nothing new under the cinematographic sun. Apparently, the theory still holds true.

Thanks for finding that Richard. Perspective helps see the present differently. It also reminded me of all those years of dinner meetings at the Clubhouse. I miss those times most as i reflect on what sometimes feels like another lifetime. Best and Happy New Year!
Add Ai and Bob Iger and you have this present state of failure, greed at Hollywood and it’s burning to the ground !
Thank you, Garrett! Miss you too, brother.
Richard, I wish you well! Be safe during these difficult times
for you!
Thank you, Ken. The past few days have been a trip, I can tell you…not just for me but for all of Los Angeles!
