SCIURIDAE LOGIC

            Believe it or not, Wednesday was Squirrel Appreciation Day.

            I know…who could imagine such a thing?  Does every creature on earth eventually get its own day?  Who made this decision?

            I wouldn’t speculate on what’s going through that person’s head.  But I’m pretty sure about what Jeff was thinking when I used my iPhone to shoot the accompanying clip.  Look deeply enough into his eyes and you might understand too.

            This’s as close as I’ve come to being a nature cinematographer, and there’s a good reason for that.  I don’t have anything near the patience the job requires.  That scug wore me out!  After an hour of hide-and-seek, I was ready to move on.  Jeff wasn’t having it.  Apparently, he read the call sheet and knew precisely when his co-star would appear…
