If you’ve followed this blog for any length of time, you’ll know that I’m not a fan of the murkiness that’s ruining the photography of so many streaming shows. Thankfully, it seems that someone else has noticed the problem and is addressing it in a substantive way.
Don’t get me wrong – I’m not advocating for a game show or evening news-look in all of our favorite dramas. Hey – I’m a cinematographer…I love the dark! But there’s a difference between viewers seeing what they’re supposed to and not seeing anything at all! Props to Dolby and Peacock for taking the first step toward restoring sanity.
