Hot on the trail of Tuesday’s post, AI remains at the top of my mind. Check out this music video created by the brilliant Irish director and writer, Ruairi Robinson. It’s remarkable! Save for the lyrics (drawn from Rudyard Kipling’s poem of the same name), Boots was created entirely by generative AI. Nothing in it was shot live. Nothing in it is real.
I previously highlighted another of Robinson’s films, Which Side Are You On, in my February 21 post. While that one’s amazing too, Boots is next-level. Its structure and look will stand up to the best work of any provenance. Clearly, he’s a gifted cinematographer and a has profound talent for combining images to the greatest effect. The underlying tune – also composed by AI – is catchy, too!
