My recent posts regarding the LED volume seem to have touched a nerve; I’ve been inundated with inquiries about how and where to learn about this incredible – and intricate – technology.
As always, the best way to inform oneself is by doing, but barring those random or unattainable opportunities, I’d highly recommend the above publication as the best place to start. Its impeccably qualified contributors deconstruct every aspect of virtual production in language that’s free from artifice and impenetrable jargon. Its arrival earlier this year perfectly coincided with my involvement in a volume-centric project; it has served as my primer and faithful companion since the start.
Hats off to the Visual Effects Society for this admirable effort. I’ll be first in line for the drop of a follow-up edition…!
